As the MMA Bushido’99 event on November 14 approaches in the TwinsBet Arena in Vilnius, the tension between the Lithuanian fighters is growing. Karate Kudo representative Kristupas Janciauskas will face Samuelis Sorochovas.

An experienced fighter, who has been seen in the ring many times, knows what it means to step under the lights when all eyes are on you. This time as well, he does not hide his confidence. Samuelis speaks directly: “I’m very happy to have the chance to show again what I can do, how I’ve improved, and the style I have developed. I think it is still too early for Kristupas to step into the ring against a fighter of my level. He has good distance control and speed, but I also see gaps – less physical strength, predictability, and poor strike selection. It will be interesting to see how he handles my pressure. I don’t feel any pressure – at this moment I don’t see that he has real chances to win.”

According to Samuelis, the strategy for the upcoming fight is clear and even brutally simple: “Both my coach and I have a straightforward approach to tactics – break the opponent’s balance, not allow him to feel comfortable in the ring, and try to find an opening to finish the fight early,” says Samuelis.

Sorochovas does not hide that he expects a strong performance. “Thank you to Kristupas for agreeing to fight me. I know he will have his supporters, and I will have mine – it’s definitely going to be intense. I believe this will be the best fight of the night.”
